Science News for Kids - an award-winning online publication for 9-14 year olds, from the organisation that runs the Intel ISEF international science competition.

Millennium Technology Prize - have you desgined or made a ground-breaking innovation that promotes people's quality of life? If so you might like to consider entering the Millennium Technology Prize awarded by the Technology Academy Finland. Deadline: 31st July 2011.

STFC paid placements - the Science & Technology Facilities Council (STFC) is offering students a year-long paid placement to gain experience in science communication.

Mission Discovery - The International Schools Space Education Trust (ISSET) coordinate the NASA trips that some of the National Science & Engineering Competition Senior winners have gone on. They have a new programme, Mission Discovery, which will enable young people to spend a week working with astronauts to come up with an idea to be carried out in space. The best idea will be selected, built, launched from Kazakhstan and taken to the International Space Station. This programme takes place on 1-5 August 2011.
